Data, cookies and traffic measurement

1. The short version

Loonies does not use advertising pixels or behavioural advertising on the website. Current traffic measurement uses Vercel Web Analytics, which Vercel describes as cookie-free.

We therefore do not show a generic consent banner solely for the current analytics. If we later add non-essential cookies or similar technologies, they will not activate until you have made a valid choice.

2. Essential technology and server logs

Hosting and security may involve processing IP address, time, URL, browser/device type and technical logs to deliver the website, diagnose faults, limit abuse and protect the service.

Links to TestFlight, Expo/Android and Slack lead to external services. Their own terms and technologies apply when you open them.

3. Landing-page analytics events

Loonies currently measures limited events to understand whether the website and product explanation work:

• which main sections become visible in the browser,
• opening the download dialog and choosing iPhone or Android,
• clicking through to TestFlight or the Android beta,
• steps and choices in the simulated product demo,
• clicking the optional Slack community and internal footer navigation.

4. Retention and access

Analytics and logs must be limited to what is needed for improvement and security and deleted or aggregated according to the relevant provider and account configuration. The actual Vercel plan, retention and access group must be documented before production launch.

5. If technologies change

If Loonies introduces marketing cookies, cross-site tracking, advertising pixels or other non-essential storage/access on your device, we will update this page and show a choice before activation. Refusing must be as easy as consenting, and the choice must be changeable.
