Terms of use for Loonies

1. Loonies and the agreement

Loonies is a hyperlocal social app for spontaneous, friendly meetings in real life. The service is operated by An Artic, Danish company registration no. 37446459. Loonies is not a dating app and does not use swipes, likes or dating matches.

When you create an account and accept these terms, you enter into an agreement with An Artic for your use of Loonies. The beta is free unless a future paid feature is clearly presented before purchase.

2. Age and beta access

You must be at least 18 to create or use an account. Age is self-declared during the beta; Loonies does not collect a date of birth or identity document solely for this confirmation.

The beta is open through TestFlight and a signed Android beta. Access may still be limited by technical capacity, geographic focus areas, platform requirements, safety or operational needs.

3. Your account

Provide accurate information, protect your access and contact us if you suspect misuse. You must not transfer an account or use someone else’s identity without a lawful basis.

You are responsible for activity from your account to the extent it results from matters within your control. Contact info@looniesapp.dk promptly if you suspect compromise.

4. Acceptable use

Use Loonies respectfully, lawfully and with consideration for others. The following is prohibited:

• threats, harassment, discrimination, stalking or unwanted sexual contact,
• fake profiles, fraud, spam or commercial mass marketing,
• unlawful, sexually abusive, violent or otherwise harmful content,
• collecting or sharing another person’s information without permission,
• attempts to bypass access requirements, security, blocks or technical restrictions.

5. Your content

You are responsible for profile text, images, messages, Hangouts and other content you share. You retain your rights and grant Loonies only a limited, non-exclusive right to store, display and process the content where necessary to provide, secure and moderate the service.

Only share content you are entitled to use. Avoid sensitive information about yourself or others that is not needed to make a plan.

6. Pings, chat and physical meetings

Contact requires a yes: chat opens only when the recipient accepts a ping or relevant invitation. You always decide whether to continue the conversation or meet.

Loonies facilitates contact but does not arrange, supervise or guarantee a physical meeting or another user’s identity or conduct. Meet in public, consider telling a friend and leave if you feel unsafe. Contact local emergency services in immediate danger.

7. Blocking, reporting and moderation

You can block and report users and content in the app. Loonies may investigate reports, restrict features, remove content, take a user offline, suspend or close an account to protect users, enforce the rules or comply with law.

Where reasonable and safe, we explain a significant moderation decision. You may request a review at info@looniesapp.dk.

8. Beta, changes and availability

Loonies remains a beta service. Features may change, be temporarily unavailable or contain errors. We may limit users, areas or features or end the beta with reasonable notice where possible.

We do not promise uninterrupted operation, but work to correct faults and communicate significant issues responsibly.

9. Liability

You use the service and attend physical meetings at your own risk. Loonies is not responsible for another user’s conduct. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or your mandatory consumer rights.

10. Ending an account, changes and law

You may request permanent account deletion as described on the “Delete account” page. We may suspend or close access for a material breach, misuse or a specific safety risk.

We may update the terms when the product or law changes. Material changes will be communicated and may require fresh acceptance. Danish law applies subject to mandatory consumer protections. Contact us first with a complaint so we can try to resolve it.
